IKO - MOVING FORWARD TO FINALIZE THEIR GOAL OF COMPLETE HORIZONTAL INTERGRATION
This announcement is to advise you that IKO will be standardizing the size and appearance of Cambridge LT, RoofShake 40 and Cambridge 30 & 30 AR laminate shingles from our Sumas and Calgary plants. IKO has long prided itself on its philosophy of vertical integration as well as intra-plant product integration. This move will allow IKO to ship all shingle products with consistent colours and sizes, from coast to coast.
Changes will be Effective August 2009 at
IKO Pacific located in Sumas, WA and IKO Calgary.
Changes in Size will create a "DO NOT MIX" situation
BENEFITS OF STANDARDIZED SIZING

Larger size means only 60 shingles per square versus 62.

Coverage covers either 3.1 m2 (33.3 sq. ft.) or 2.32 m2 (25 sq. ft.)
-
Compared to competing products IKO’s larger shingles offer up to 10% savings on work hours, materials, and nails.
